Portuguese history is movement: ideas, talent, and ambition crossing oceans. Now, The Portuguese Diaspora network welcomes João C. Silva to become part of their global network which unites Portuguese leaders who advance cultural development and market expansion.
The invitation recognizes his career journey which combined creative thinking with performance-based work and worldwide partnership development and innovative idea creation.
“As a Portuguese, I carry my country on my back and in my heart. Growing up in a small place with a big spirit fuels creativity and talent. We’re made of history – and eager to build the next one,” João says.
The first meeting in Abu Dhabi with the Portuguese Ambassador in attendance established three main objectives: to identify market sectors, connect qualified candidates with national organizations and establish strategic alliances between technology, education, culture, entrepreneurship and culture.
What’s next: ongoing dialogue with Diaspora Council stakeholders, working groups on innovation and knowledge-sharing, and a calendar to turn intent into impact. Abu Dhabi was just the first step.
